I Like Etta James

  1. Etta James sings wonderfully.
  2. She doesn't like Obama.
  3. She sings wonderfully.

Etta James is not happy with President Barrack Obama or Beyonce. Apparently, at a recent show, the singer showed her anger while introducing her hit, At Last, the song that Obama asked Beyonce to sing during his first dance as President. Etta made a point to let the audience know that Obama was “not her President.” Burn

Etta told the audience, “You know, YOUR President, the one with the big ears-he ain’t my President?”had that woman singing for him at his Inauguration. She’s going to get her ass whooped. How dare Beyonce sing MY song that I been singing forever. Now I’m going to sing it for y’all….??

Did I mention that she sings wonderfully?

"I Won!"

Obama, after explaining to Biden what happened... the Chicago way!

Quick update on the whole health thing...

Went up to Kaiser Sunset on Thursday, met with Dr. Sahebi. All the blood work is OK, nothing unusual. I have a bit of sinusitis, so she gave me MORE antibiotics and told me to take some B-6. I get to visit with her only every other month now, so that is getting better.

My back is still a bit bothersom, and I will start working on that now.

Dinner is up, gotta go.

Na-na-na-ner

Yes, it's over 80 degrees here. We broke out the "hillbilly hot tubs" and splashed around for a while. Still a bit breezy, but it is a warm breeze. Oh, how I pity those back east, or even up north (Gart and Gina). Yea, it's earthquake weather, but I can deal with that.

Of course I am working on the computer, sorting through thousands of pictures. Downloaded a program to sort through and find duplicates, and I had 7669 duplicate pictures, in 3009 groups. That is out of 18060 total pictures. Boy, that's a bunch.

For Christmas, I got the Kodak Zi6 hi-def camera. Pretty cool, basic, and so far, rugged. I took it on Grizzly Rapids, and it survived. It does poorly in dark situations, but I expected that. I will upload a video and see how it works.

Have Fun!

It's 10:15 pm. It's 72 degrees out side.

Just saying to all you east coasters...

The santana winds are blowing, and it is WARM. I just went outside to check on things, and the particulate matter in the air was quite visible in the light of the Mag light. It was windy when we went to Disneyland on Friday night, too.
They call this earthquake weather...

I'll be in my bunker.

Shampoo!

Well, my golden locks are slowly returning to the point that I actually used shampoo today. Just a drop, but it did lather up in the shower.

Problem is that it is no longer golden... gray on the sides and dark on the top. We will see.

It is nice to have my energy back. This week I actually worked in the yard some, did a bit of plumbing, and worked on a project for NJS some.

Now, if I can only get my brain back on track. I seem to have serious challenges with names. No kidding. I was at a holiday party, met some folks (I have known them for years), and could not place their names. Everything else I knew, where they lived, what they do, their favorite color, everything. Total blank on the names. It also happened in the chemo lab. I saw the Cancer Coordinator Maven, and it took me several hard thinking minutes to place the name. Quite frustrating. Doesn't seem to effect people I see on a daily basis, but I have been out of circulation for a while.

I also need to get my flexibility up. I have troubles getting up out of a chair (nothing like last year), and my balance is a bit off for a second. If I get on the floor, I am like a drunk walrus trying to get up. I used to be able to put my hands behind my back and stretch, no more. With time and activity, I hope that this will improve.

Gotta finish dinner...
